AETHEL — WOMEN'S COLLECTION
Not a women's line. Not a female version of something designed for someone else. Built from the ground up around the way women of genuine taste relate to clothing, craft, and the idea of owning something for the rest of their lives.
"I tried on the coat before I asked who made it. That was the moment I understood what AETHEL was."
— First Women's Client, London
THE MAKER
Location
Milan, Italy
Craft
Women's tailoring, 31 years
Training
Trained under Maestro Carlo Andreacchio, Naples
Specialty
Women's bespoke — structure, movement, and decades-long wear
The maker behind this collection is not the founder. The maker is Marta Conti — a Milan-based cutter who trained under one of the last great Neapolitan tailors and has been making women's tailoring for thirty-one years. Her work has never carried a public label. Every woman who has worn it has simply known that what she was wearing was different, without being able to say exactly why.
The founder found her in 2024. This collection is what he built to be worthy of her work.
The Founder's Note — From the First Meeting
"She showed me a coat she had made twelve years ago for a client who still wears it every winter. She had restructured the shoulder twice as the client's posture changed. The coat looks like it was made yesterday. That is what I wanted for AETHEL's women's clients. Not a new coat every five years. The same coat, for life."
WHAT THE COLLECTION IS BUILT ON
The women's luxury market is the most valuable in the world and the most consistently underserved. The same brands that claim to honor craft offer women seasonal pieces designed for obsolescence. The same brands that claim to understand their client offer a different sales associate at every visit.
AETHEL offers something specific: a named maker who has spent thirty-one years understanding how a woman's body moves; twenty-two measurements taken in a single appointment and held for life; and a Covenant that makes the same four promises to every women's client that it makes to every men's client — because quality does not have a gender.

THE FIT PROMISE
Women's tailoring requires more measurement points than men's and more conversation about how fit should feel — close or with ease, higher or lower rise, made for heels or for flats. The first appointment takes ninety minutes. Marta Conti is present for every women's consultation, in person where possible and by video where not.
Twenty-two measurements are taken. All are held in the client file permanently. Every future commission is built from them. And as the body changes — through years, through life — every AETHEL piece is adjusted at no charge. This promise is written into the Covenant.

WOMEN'S EXCLUSIVEEXPRESSING INTEREST
AETHEL does not operate a standard waitlist. Every expression of interest for the Women's Collection is reviewed personally. If there is a fit — in values, in timing, in what you are looking for — you will receive a personal response within five business days. Not from a system. From a person.
The first appointment is an introduction, not a sale. It lasts ninety minutes. Marta Conti is present. Nothing is purchased at the first appointment. The conversation is simply: what do you want to own for the rest of your life?
The Women's Collection does not recruit through existing male clients. Every woman who wears AETHEL was found in her own right — by reputation, by introduction from another women's client, or by her own expression of interest here.
